Great to see you again!! Y'all don't forget to fan me on Facebook, and subscribe to my Examiner articles!

Hey y’all!  I’m Lynsey, the sassy southerner behind Sassy & Southern.  Welcome to my little corner of the web and thanks for stopping by!

I’m a twenty-something mother of three loud and rambunctious kiddos.  I was adopted when I was ten days old and grew up in the suburbs with my mom, dad, and two younger brothers.  (My foster parents named me Mary Anne, but I don’t think that would have fit my personality!)  In high school I was one of three yearbook editors my senior year and spent two years in the Deer Escorts (the drill team for all you pervs out there!)  I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, where I majored in Finance.  Right after I graduated I became a single parent to the one and only DQ.  Two and a half years later I met and married my husband, and promptly had two more kiddos, Cub and Ace.

We moved from my hometown on the gulf coast to North Texas two years ago, so I decided to start blogging as a way to update family and friends on our “happenings.”  Then I re-discovered my love for writing…so now I am trying to do some freelance work!

I became the Holidays Examiner for the Fort Worth Examiner as a result of searching for freelance work recently, and whenever I write anywhere else I will be sure to update y’all.

I love making new friends and meeting new people so I am extremely happy y’all decided to stop by and I hope to see you soon!  Y’all come back now, y’hear?

Hi There, you are very funny. I saw your link on Kindnotes.com. Love that idea.

Thought I’d share my website. You seem to be at an age where many of your friends are getting married. Our products are GREAT for wedding gifts. They are different and personal. You can create a gift that will last a lifetime. I won’t bore you with more promo – just an invite to take a peak at the site.

As for BARNEY – funny story (read your post on cartoons you won’t let your kids watch). My little one loved him and my mother-in-law got him one for Christmas (years back) that talked when you pushed on his tummy.

Well…the kids were asleep (finally) and my husband and I had a moment to “reconnect”. So we started to get romantic on the toy room sofa and heard, “Hello there and welcome friends (with the goofy laugh).” FREAKED us out. Go to find out the Barney toy was stuffed under the seat cushion. Nothin’ like ruining the moment.

With that…I’ll leave you with a Happy New Year.

Leave your response!
