According to History.com, Ireland didn’t allow their pubs to open on St. Patrick’s day until 1995, when they decided to use the guise of the holiday to promote tourism. Before that, it was revered as a religious holiday, one in which the people were allowed to consume meat (traditionally Irish bacon and cabbage) despite the fact that it fell during the Lenten season. After taking the time to read a little about St. Patrick, I …

Ace, meanwhile, started to be more social. …

It is a momentous occasion, and all I got was a blurry iPhone pic.
That …

I should have taken a home economics class in high school or college. I mean, we are ALL homemakers, and we ALL try to make our homes as livable and inviting as possible whether we work inside or outside the home. My mom doesn’t sew, and I never thought to ask anyone to teach me.
Today, I am bemoaning that fact. I am playing ‘woulda, shoulda, coulda’…because I can’t thread my …
